Nate is a Foreign Service Officer for the United States Department of State, currently serving as an Energy Officer on the Minerals Security Partnership team. He came to the Bureau of Energy Resources (ENR) after two years as the Senior France Desk Officer, and a year on the Germany Desk. He has completed six overseas tours, including a Consular tour in Paris, Political tours in Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, at the US Delegation to the OSCE in Vienna, and in Moscow, and most recently as the Press Attaché in Baku, Azerbaijan. Nate has Bachelors’ Degrees in French and Economics from the University of Utah, and a Masters of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. He and his wife Sina have three kids, aged 10 to 18.
