The Vision
Started in 2022, Across the Atlantic aims to bring bespoke actionable insight on the implications and impacts of global events and geopolitics on markets. The ever quickening pace of global change warrants nimble analysis and actionable takeaways to capitalize on emerging trends. While identifying and investing into global trends is beneficial to personal long term return, we also believe the democratization of ideas can benefit the United States. Now more than ever, it’s crucial that we bring people into the conversation on foreign affairs in order to build consensus on how the United States can best lead.
Background
Garrett Delk is currently a Managing Director at Nasdaq working directly with listed companies across the Southern U.S. and Latin America. He is focused on working with leadership and Boards to ensure broad access to the Nasdaq ecosystem, develop a deep understanding of capital markets and navigate the post IPO landscape. Across great states like Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama there is an incredible drive of people, capital and innovation that he is proud to sponsor and work alongside. Likewise, in Latin America as capital markets grow in size and complexity, corporates face a growing list of key decisions to manage.
Prior to Nasdaq he worked at Pickering Energy Partners, a boutique investment bank and public/private asset manager. At Pickering, he focused on advisory and consulting for private sponsors, companies, public issuers and asset managers in order to drive higher trading multiples and expand access to capital markets, private partners and traditional financing. He also authored the group’s monthly newsletter and was the main contributor to the Energy Workforce & Technology Council’s (EWTC) industry news coverage.
Prior to Pickering Energy Partners, he worked in Nasdaq’s Strategic Capital Intelligence group advising public energy, biotech and TMT clients on shareholder targeting/retention, activist defense, proxy development and trends in capital markets. Additionally, he created and authored the group’s bi-weekly newsletter discussing developments in investor relations and published thought leadership on sell side conferences.
Before Nasdaq, Garrett worked at KPMG focusing on bank, VC, and hedge fund assurance between San Francisco and New York.
